You Decide by *sylvia* is my last pick for today. WOW! What a spash of wonderful color and vibrance! I love the grunge and the boldness plus the word art going down the page on different angles. Great way to finish today’s picks!

The next two layouts are very different styles with “here I am” having a shabby chic, vintage vibe and “Movie Time” being very modern and graphic. They have something in common, though – they both take advantage of diagonal flow. That slant adds such visual interest to both of these layouts. AND, they both wisely use black and white photos. While the photos are the focal points, they do not clash with their backgrounds. Nope, the entire piece is a cohesive work of art.

This page, Happy by *sylvia* is a stunner! Where to begin? That beautiful face, blended in with the architectural elements and all the other artsy bits, the stitching – oh, the stitching! The flowers are perfectly placed and there’s a gritty feel that really appeals to me. Every time I look at it, I see something different. Very well done!

Winter Vibes by *sylvia* is a wonderful example of an Art Journaling page! The layering is amazing and I love the frosty snowflakes and the big star. The mixed media artsy bits are used to perfection, too. There’s even a vintage feel to this page and what a unique place for a banner!

Next up is Enjoy by *sylvia*. I’m such an admirer of this artsy, minimalist style. The blending and layering is superb, the lighthouse right in the center of the page is a real eye catcher. I love the title, with the fastener and the ribbon bit and that triangular picture just puts the finishing touch on this page.

I Am Woman by *sylvia* is my next pick. Can I just say “wow”??? That red hair jumped off the page at me and I adore the photo treatment! The yellow and red circles are so happy and add to the energy of this fantastic page! The word stamps and all of the great word art are just icing on the cake!

Frosty Fun by sylvia. We haven’t had much snow in our area this year and that’s ok, because I get to look at it in amazing layouts like this one! Her photos are absolutely the most precious!! I love those big snowflakes and that gorgeous title work! Absolutely stunning design and just the sweetest page.

My next pick is What a Night by *sylvia*. The blending was the first thing that drew me in, but just look at that gorgeous face! This page is so intriguing and had to be included in my picks for today.
Snowboards by *sylvia*. I been a long time admirer of Sylvia’s work! I adore her out of bounds work here on the photo! and how she repeated the snowboarder in color and than again in black and white! Really draws a punch! And how the snowy ground seems to go across the page! simply fantastic work.
Art is Life by Sylvia. For me, art is a significant part of life! And this beauty pulled me right in. The arty pieces on the white background POP! I love the color palette and the styling. And, I am incredibly inspired by the workmanship here.

Cute and Spooky by Sylvia. I just giggled when I saw this adorable photo of the little girl! Perfectly blended and the way she made the blending come out of the spider web is perfect! The title is apropos, and the faded leaves and text into the background give a good base for everything else.

Boo! by sylvia. Oh my goodness! This one jumped out at me immediately from the gallery!! How cool and creative is this page!! Amazing extraction and shadow work! I love the brush work on the background and the pop of color in the title is so fun!! The dangling spider is perfection! This is one fantastic page!!
Another gorgeous layout from Sylvia. It looks like the girl in the photo is having a lot of fun. I love the vertical layout with the mixed stitches as a great detail that anchors the page and at the same time is a great detail. I really like the split title, I am a big fan of splitting up your title.
Cool by *sylvia*. This page is just absolutely precious!! That photo makes me smile so big!! I love the beautiful stamped bits and the fun school elements! The border and her use of white space is so perfect!! So fun and so adorable!! This is such a creative page!!
Sylvia never fails to surprise and delight me with her artsy pages. She has the knack of finding the perfect elements to go with the perfect paint splashes! Her photo treatment is spot on, and I love the little camera cluster on the bottom right. She really knows how to use the paint and little artsy touches that make just about every one of her pages a knockout!
Sylvia’s work is just so impactful. And honestly, this leapt out at me because if I could be bothered to be a hair girl, this is what my hair would look like! I love the simple background, with the explosion of colour and elements underneath the photo. I love how the colour palette tones perfectly with the photo and the whole page feels alive with movement.

Sylvia - Tech you so much. Seeing Sylvia’s layouts always make me happy, they are so clean. I love the theme of this page and the detailed photos. The grid background makes the whole page clean but adds an elegant tech element. The broken paper piece/frame is cool and I love how the photos are layered in behind it.

I always enjoy a vertical design and Happy by sylvia is a super clean example. I love that the unframed photo’s are of different sizes and the rounded corners are the perfect added touch. The splash of paint and colourful title work add a playful feel to this bright and breezy page. Delightful!
Nostalgic by Sylvia. The colours of this 4th page make the design quite vintage. The shadows are very well done and the stamp frames are very nice. They also bring a little vintage touch.

I’m quiet sure next artist doesn’t require an introduction, but just in case you have been leaving under a scrapbook rock.. LOL she is another one of my Blank Space Queens, those who manage the art of minimalism and can tell a story or just delight the eyes and heart with awesome skills. She is *sylvia* and the page is called memories. Here is another great photo blend, management of color perfection, amazingly crazy shadows very subtle in certain places, the different types of art word and strips… the fading text…and, I think for many of us, the car , if it is not, resembles a lot those fiat 600 of the 60s 70s & 80s (I think there were called different in some parts of the world) that were their first car for so many of my friends back then… here again, every time I lookup I discover more awesomeness (like the amount of different textures in the background and that thread I had missed) Brilliant!

Life by Sylvia. Oh my goodness….this is so very cool! I love how the photo has been turned into the large title. And not only that, but the extraction is also part of the title. The shadowing is perfection and the bits of brushes and paint in the background are great additions.

Sylvia – Think Positive. I’m a cardmaker and I love working in a CAS (Clean And Simple) style, this wonderful page by Sylvia just captures the essence of that for me. With the little bit of paint and the pops of colour on that subtle wood background, it’s just everything I want to achieve! The photo is awesome, her red hair adding an unexpected additional piece of colour.
Love this by sylvia. If you guys know me and my picks by now… I’m a sucker for white space and cats. Look what I found! A perfect white space page, featuring a super adorbs kitty cat! The vertical feel to the stacked papers and photo go so well with the horizontal monochromatic stripes in the background paper. The fun fringe and the stitching gives the page a softer feel, and the lovely touch of the sequins at the bottom complete the page. I just love it all!
My post would not be complete without a little bit of white space. I love how clean and sharp Captured by sylvia is. I love how the elements circling the images are keeping things in check and the coloured word art is so striking. Such a refreshing page!
Next up is LOL by sylvia. I have to admit that sometimes I just don’t know what to do with those stitched or doodled elements in kits, but this has given me all sorts of ideas!!! I love the use of whitespace. And could that photo be any cuter?

Alt-ctrl-del by Sylvia I mean this just made me LOL. I love the photo and the great background that ties in with the imagery so well. And the winking emoji key just made me laugh even more. Love the anchor created for the title word strip with the little flower and twine bow, the splash of paint adds a really nice colour pop.

Sylvia October Monthly. This jumped out at me from the gallery. So much ‘clean’ space, with that super cluster of elements, complimenting the cutest photo ever – just look at that cheeky grin! I love the very neutral colour palette with just a couple of pops of red and teal to brighten it up.
This layout Celebrate Life by Sylvia is just fresh and lovely. This layout jumped out to me in the Gallery. Gorgeous flow, photo effects, blending and soft painterly touches with her fabulous Title work make this as one of my standouts for today. Kinda puts a spring in your step, right!!
Be you by Sylvia. This is such a fun page! The layering of the elements along the side is really striking. I love the pop of color the elements and paint give to the page. The blending and extraction is top notch. And I had a little chuckle after reading the title.

Paris by Sylvia. What an absolutely stunning page! That photo is breathtaking and I adore how that path of the plane leads your eye across the page! The beautiful blue paints are so serene and the pops of color are gorgeous!! Amazing title work, as well!! This is just so pretty!!

Life by Sylvia. Next, this beautiful creation caught my eye. I love black, white and red together, but what made me choose this layout was the gorgeous cluster of paint, doodles, threads and elements all beautifully arranged to create a fabulous page. The title is perfectly placed, and that hanging light bulb is so darned cute. Contemporary, meaningful and worthy of a frame. Beautiful job!

I love it when an artist gets creative with their photography and a great way to attract attention is with the perspective of the image. Encourage by sylvia is a wonderful mix of playful and powerful and spanning the image across a frame trio works perfectly to add impact while the minimalist colour palette keeps everything beautifully casual. I am a huge fan of Sylvia – she tends toward the minimalist style which I love. I absolutely love how she managed to pull of this gorgeous artsy layout and still keep her signature style! The blending is flawless, and I love what she did with the photo. The word art is spectacular; alongside the photo, it really tells a story. Beautiful flower cluster at the bottom; did you catch the paper clip under the flowers? So clever. Gorgeous!!

Exquisite brush work with painterly drips, a touch of grunge mixed with delicate elements, dainty florals and the right amount of splatter make for one Very, very pretty Layout, I am in Love!!

This is a layout that is all about the photos. They share such emotion. They tell the story. The use of white space, black and white photos, and the minimal journaling creates such drama. The shadowing on the string is spot on and the tone on tone stamp lends such grace. Just stunning.

One of my favourite aspects of page design is a photo that spans a number of frames. Memories by sylvia is a wonderful example of this and I love the layers and artsy mix. An almost monochromatic page with its neutral tones and a little pop of red and black here and there, I absolutely love this!

Opening up with a little intrigue – quite literally, is Intrigue by *sylvia*! Great blending of two colour tones and brush work surround the perfectly cropped image while the pretty flower adds some depth. I love the bold title work and the definition there of. So beautiful!
The watercolor work of this page is stunning. The photo that extends and merges under the frame reinforces this watercolor side. The scribble and the stamps give an artsy look to the design

As an Autumn lover, I’m enjoying all the seasonal pages in the galleries and I couldn’t pass by Be Happy by sylvia. Beautiful Autumnal foliage grace the image and I love the gentle windswept look of this page. Finished off with a little chalking of the edges and gorgeous title work, this is amazing!
Free Spirit by sylvia. I love a beautiful white background with pops of color and this one is just gorgeous!! That red striped paper really sets everything off and makes that photo pop! I love the little sequin cluster and lovely use of the heart string! Stunning page!

A mix of brush work/blending with some elements shadowed here and there makes for some depth and great interest. Add a pretty girl and some large word art and you’ve got yourself a standout! Blessed by Sylvia. Simplicity at it’s very best!! I am smitten with this adorable page. Sylvia has created such a gorgeous flow with all the elements placed to highlight the sweet photo. I especially love the placement of the arrow. This page brings happiness to the viewer.

I adore this page, My Little Love, by sylvia. The photo captures a beautiful smile that is so contagious. Again, the simple design with the pop of layered pink frames draws the eye right to the focus of the page, the gorgeous smile. The title is supported by the tiny little bug on the opposite side. Also love how the design is set against the striped paper. A happy page!
And WOW, *Sylvia*’s Jump is such a fantastic action page!!! Everything about this page is spot-on!!! I love the grungy feel of the page and the overlay on the photo is the perfect touch to not only add grunge but to enhance the sense of movement in the photo!!!
Be thankful - Sylvia. I was drawn to this first layout, be thankful by sylvia, because of the wonderful color palette in the photo. The autumn gold sweater and overalls just say fall fun to me. I also like the angle of the photo and the way she cropped it — it adds so much interest. Her choice of accents are equally pleasing. The three swirls are reminiscent of leaves blowing around them and the buttons are perfect to anchor her photo. Finally, I love the top of the tag peaking from the lower left corner of the page and her be Thankful message.

Pink is one of my favorite colors so Hunting Like a Girl jumped out at me. Sylvia’s shadowing, ultra-clean composition, and diagonal flow are captivating, too.
Summer Memories by sylvia caught my attention right away! This is what I call beautiful simplicity! That photo is so precious!! The dotted background paper and added paint are lovely. And that adorable little pink flower is the perfect touch!! The shadows are beautifully done as well! Such a sweet, sweet page!

The first layout that caught my eye was and then by *sylvia* . It seems fitting to choose this one since the Summer Olympics are fast approaching. The extraction is outstanding and shadowed to perfection. The simple sketched circle frames the figure and only a few embellishments are needed to complete her design. I love the split papers and that she used both the stitches and word art to demarcate the change.
Next, my attention was drawn to the central design of Love Yourself by sylvia. The chevron backdrop works so well here and I like the simple layers under the frameless photo. The scatters leading up from the little camera embellishment, up and under the photo, interrupted by those two little flowers, and carrying on up to the top of the page, look like they’ve been punched from the little pieces of dotted paper and they make me think of the magic that our cameras help us create … and the magic here is the adorable photo and the way it’s been wonderfully scrapped!
